Using it daily, installed on Bed room Door..Its very sturdy ?I am not giving this product five stars because it fell down , while my teenage son was in the midst of performing a pull-up. Luckily he’s athletic, so he did not get hurt or fall... The reason I did NOT send it back is... it took about 10+ days to receive the bar and I didn’t want to wait to workout any longer. In order to safely use the product, I reinforced the bar in my doorway with “L” shaped metal shelving holders, which I screwed below the end pieces of the bar, on either side of the doorway. I will add photos later.... I am a woman, so this was quite an undertaking for me, but totally worth it in the end. The pull-up bar now hangs safely in the doorway and we’ve used it, without incident, since making the alterations. On a side note... I also do not like where the locks are located on the bar. The locks further limit the available bar space, in which there’s very little and interferes in ones ability to vary the hand positions.I got this pull up bar for my son. He has been wanting to get more home workouts in now that online learning has him so sedentary.I have an older pull up bar that hooks above the door trim and pulls down. I don't like it because it bends the trim and I'm afraid it will cause serious damage. This pull up bar pushes outward to create tension instead. Its incredibly strong and sturdy! Nothing moves around. My son set this up easily within a few minutes even though he avoids instruction manuals like the plague!Very simple and easy to use. Leave everything on the loose setting and put against door frame. Make sure to lock the black nubs on each side in the slot to prevent it from turning and lock into place with the silver lock ring. Then slide the bar towards the direction that shows "TIGHTEN" and you'll be good to go.It's held my 230lb overweight sized body doing pull ups and swinging around.I do not hold any responsibility for any injuries. Just here to share my experience. It was easy to set up but it came out once while I was doing my reps. Hit my knees and got slightly bruised. Now I got ptsd and put a pillow below me.I've tried this pull up bar in several types of doorways in my home. I've had it fall on me twice now. I have it braced in a metal doorframe so tightly that it's bowing the frame and still it slips. I weigh 200lbs and this should not be an issue. The material used as tread that rubs against the door frame just doesn't seem to have enough friction. If i knew i would need to tighten this so much i'd be damaging my door frames i would have just purchased a pull up bar that screws into the jamb. I do not trust it to continue to hold me over a long period of time.I bought the pull up bar (and some pull up training bands cause i have no upper body strength), i weigh about 180lbs and this doesn't budge or make a sound. I followed the instructions provided, and couldn't be happier. As far as my pull up improvement, well who cares but the close up is after about 100 pull ups. This item came with a broken plastic piece that my husband and I decided was unimportant so he set it up and got it perfect. The first use went without issue, but the second time he used it, it came off and he hit the floor. He's 50, he can't be falling like that. His knees are already bad from an old motorcycle injury, now they're worse. Due to him being 6'3", he had to set up the bar and bend his knees and pull up to be able to ACTUALLY be able to use the bar, that's not the bar's fault, but it falling caused him to land on his knees from several feet in the air, which IS the bar's fault. We are returning and I'll get him a stand alone bar, that has support and he won't be weary of using it. He put the bar back up but is now worried he'll seriously injure himself, so he won't use it again. This company may get sued one day.
